When we got back to the classroom we all had a go at sorting the leaves. We decided in our groups how to sort the leaves and began the mammoth task of classifying each leaf!

Dens & Dandelions
The children kick-started their new topic "Dens & Dandelions' by going on a visit to the school field. Luckily the weather was on our side and we managed to collect a wide range of different leaves and had a go at identifying them. Using hand held microscopes and magnifying glasses the children were able to take a closer look at their finds and discovered a variety of different patterns and interesting detail on the leaves found.
