The weather got the better of us...

Unfortunately, we had to cancel our Year 2 visit to 'Christmas All Wrapped' today. Such a shame but it really wasn't sensible to take the children out in such heavy rain!

Festival of Divali

Over the next two weeks, in Cherry and Ash classes, we will be finding out about the Festival of Divali- why is it celebrated and what happens during the celebrations? Can you find out anything at home about it?

New theme in Cherry and Ash classes

Our theme this half term is - SHOWTIME! and as part of that theme we will be learning about the instruments in an orchestra.
We are hoping to arrange a half day visit to the Millennium Centre to attend an orchestra workshop led by a real-life conductor. We'll let you know the details as we are able.
In the meantime , you may like to watch this Youtube clip of Benjamin Briiten's Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra

Can you name any of the instruments?
